Over the past early winter weeks, there was a lot of hat-making going on at our house. In the end, nearly all the females in our family received one for Christmas. These are the ones at our house last weekend. Two more hats went to Maryland, one to Wellman, and one to San Francisco for those not able to attend the Seward-McDowell Family Christmas Gathering this year. I used the free pattern below from Lion Brand, then adjusted for the smaller head sizes of the children, as needed. I fell in love with the hat style worn by one of the athletes while watching the 2018 Winter Olympics.
